A lot of rats in the meeting. Ben came in.

RAT LEADER

Listen, folks! We are going to start the meeting!

Rat chattering each other.

RAT LEADER

Ahmm let’s see. Alpha, Romeo, and Ben. The three of you ! Take care of this week’s supplies!

Ben

Oh Gosh.

RAT leader

Any question? If there is none, dismissed!

Rats dismissed. Ben walks out.

EXT, Street, Night

Ben introduces himself.

BEn

We went out everyday to still supplies. This is my first time hunting. Most of us wouldn’t make it alive. Such a dangerous task.

Ben arrives at a house

EXT, Garden, Night

Ben

This house seems good. Lets do it fast.

Ben sneakily enter the yard. Sound of grass.

BEN

Hm? What’s that?

Cat shows up from the bush.

BEN

Catttttttttttttttttt!

Cat grabs Ben’s tail.

CAT

Silent, I need you to help me. If you wish to cooperate with me, I won’t kill you.

BEN

Really? Okay I’ll do anything! Don’t kill me please!

Cat

Okay, help me to get the cheese. A lot of my friends get sick from eating rats.

Cat releases Ben and they enter the house together …

INT , Someone’s house, night

              

Cat

Go , you lead the way.

BEN

I can smell the cheese! This way!

They went to the kitchen.

CAT

Yeeeeeek!, what is that thing?

A group of huge cockroaches surround the dirty kitchen

BEN

Hey, guys, mind to share us some cheese?

Cockroach a

Ah, sure. Hey B! Get out from that cheese!

An even bigger cockroach get out from the cheese.

COCKROACH B

Sup’ yo.

Cat

Yeeek, nevermind. I don’t want to have a diarrhea. Let’s get out, rat.

cockroach c

Aw, too bad. Krkrkrkrkrkrk (laughing)

Rat and Cat went out.

EXT , Street, Night

BEN

Aw, that cockroaches are fast.

cat

I know! Come here earlier tomorrow. We must steal the next cheese before them.

Tomorrow , they meet again at the same place, and they sneak in the house again.

Cat

Haha, now the kitchen is ours!

BEN

Hmm, are you sure?

The cockroaches swarming the kitchen.

Cockroach a

Huh? You again?

CAT

Listen, we need the cheese. I hope you..

A cockroach pop out from the cheese.

Cockroach B

Sup, yo.

The two other cockroaches rolling while laughing.

Rat and cat get out of the kitchen.

Cat

They must live in this house. No matter they are fast.

BEN

Why don’t we wake the owner up to kill them?

CAT

Smart rat.

Then they go upstairs to the bedroom.

INT, Bedroom, night

Cat

Oh my, what a terrible room.

BEN

I go wake them up and lure them to the kitchen !

Rat slip on the owner bed.

OWNER

Gyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, ratttttttttttttt !

Cat

Aw, my ears.

  

Rat ran away being chased by the owner to the kitchen.

Cockroach A

Wow, an epic chase scene.

Cockroach B

Epic.

Cockroach C

Krkrkrkrkr. Stupid fellows.

After escaped from the owner, rat came back to the house. There he meet the cat.

Cat

Forget it, rat.

BEN

Why?! I’m almost died!

Cat

The owner.. own the cockroach. They are his pet. The cockroaches told me back then.

BEN

So gross, I might get a diarrhea by eating that cheese. His food must be really dirty.

Cat

Well, after all. I’m gonna eat weed today.I can die from starvation.

Walking out, the three cockroaches laughed at them loudly from the window.

BEN

Oh my, they are annoying! We need payback!

Cat

Forget about the cheese. Come back tomorrow. We will make their life worse than ever !

[Narrator]

And so the battle between the kitchen cockroaches and the Cat and Rat duo began.

 TIRED OF THE SAME FOOD

ACT ONE – The day of Mission

Scene one – Abandoned house

A dark room. A lot of rats talking. Dim light from the window. Ben, a small rat is attending daily meeting.

Rat Leader : [walk to the podium] Okay folks. Listen. We will began the usual meeting!

Other rats talk to each other.

Rat Leader : [reading a piece of paper] Alpha, Romeo.. Ben. The three of you! Take care of today’s supplies!

Ben : Oh gosh.

Rat Leader : Is there any question? If not, meeting dismissed! The three of you, come back as quick as possible!

Other rats go back to their hole. Ben walks out to the street.

Scene two – Street Night

Ben walks alone in the street.

Ben : [talking to the audience while walking] This is our daily mission. We went out everyday to steal supplies. Usually cheese. When you are chosen for the mission. It’s a life and death mission. No one loves rat. Usually we got killed by human trap, and cats, and some other died by starvation.

Ben smells something. Stop and look at a house.

Ben : Ah, this house seems safe. [walk to the house]

Ben walks sneakily in the garden. The garden is grassy.

Ben : [looks nervous] I must be fine. I must be fine. No one is awake. No one awake..

[Sound of grass rustling] Ben shocked silently. Cat comes in

Ben : [yell loudly] CATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tries to run away but his tail get caught by the cat.

Cat : Hey silent, come here for a moment. [cat drags ben to the corner of the hedge].

Ben : Ah no, I’m dead! I’m dead! [struggling]

Scene 3 : Corner of the garden

In the corner of the hedge. Dark. Almost  no light came in.

Cat : [still holding Ben’s tail] Hey listen, I’m not going to eat you. I need your help.

Ben: [closes his eye with his hand] Help?

Cat : Yea. I got sick of rat. Last time my cat fellow got a diarrhea from eating a dirty rat. So I’m not going to eat you today. But I need your help. And, if you refuse..

Ben : [open his eyes panickly] Yes , yes! I will do anything as long as you don’t kill me!

Cat : Okay, listen. I want cheese. Your usual food. They looks great and tasty. And I thought that you rats are more experienced at locating food. So I need your nose! [point at Ben’s nose]

Ben : Ooo..kay. What a strange rat. [talks silently]

Cat : Did . You . Say . Something ? [move his head closer to the rat]

Ben : [smiling] No sir! No!

Cat : Okay, good. Now lead the way. If you try to run away, I will chase you, catch you, and kill you..

Ben : I wont run away okay..

Cat releases Ben’s tail

Cat : Okay. Lead the way, rat. [releases Ben’s tail]

The cat and the rat begin to walk toward the house. The backdoor is open.

ACT TWO – Clearing the Obstacle

Scene 4 : Someone’s house. Back Part of the house.

Cat and rat walk together sneakily. The house is bright.

Cat : Ah good. The owners are asleep. I can hear their beautiful snoring sound. [twitches ear]

Ben : Okay.. [looks down, nervous]

In front of them lies a cheese in the floor.

Ben  : [sniff sniff] Aha! I smell cheese. Where is it where is it? [looks around] There ! [pointing at the cheese, and try to move]

Cat grab rat tail again.

Cat : Hahhhh. Why rats are so stupid. Of course that’s a trap. See that board? [ pointing at a thin board in the floor.]

Ben : ah. I didn’t see it.. Thanks.. [looks down]

Cat : Whatever. [releases tail] We should look for the kitchen. The cheese must be there. Can you smell it from here?

Ben : [sniffing] I can’t. We must move closer.

Cat : Just don’t die yet.

They continue to move slowly.

A small footstep sound.

Cat : [grab Ben’s tail] Hold. I hear something.

A four legged creature shadow move from between the room.

Rat : Another cat?

Cat : [swallow throat] No, its..

The four legged creature now can be seen clearly. It’s a dog.

Cat : It must be a cat. Haha. [scratch eyes] [1 sec silent.] [the dog and the cat stares at each other.]

Cat yells loudly. “DOOOOOOOOGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!”

Cat ran behind the rat.

Ben : Hey hey! Calm down now! [looks at the cat. And then look at the dog.] Ehm. Hi.[smiles beautifully]

Dog : … [thinking, 1 sec pause]

Cat hid behind rat’s back, shivering fearfully.

Ben : sst, quiet quiet. Don’t bark now. [approaching dog slowly, try to calm him down

Dog tries to open his mouth slowly.

Ben : uh-oh [stop]

Dog : RATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He yelled loudly , ran away , and jump through the window.

Ben : [surprised] … [poke cat] hey its over. The dog is gone.

Cat : [open eyes] for real? Hmm. I just knew that dogs are afraid of rats.

Ben : one of a kind dog.

Act 3 : Treasury

Scene 5 : Kitchen

Ben and the cat arrived at the kitchen.

Ben : We are here. Safely [sigh]

Cat : This is the treasure room. Both of us nearly dead. [wipes sweat]. Where is the cheese now?

Ben : [pointing at one of the shelf] there.

Cat leaps through the kitchen easily, open the shelf and bring out two packs of cheese.

Cat : 50 50 okay? [smiling] You saved my life, so we are even. [ offering a pack of cheese ]

Ben : Deal ! [takes a pack of cheese from the cat]

Cat : okay, now let’s get out of here before the hound came back ! [painful expression]

They escape the house through the window.

Scene 6 : night

Cat and Ben walks together side by side.

Cat opens the pack of cheese and eat it

Cat : [happy expression] Wow, this is delicious! Rats are nothing compared to this! [smiling]

Ben : [looks at cat] maybe you should stop hunting rat and hunt cheese instead. [laugh]

Cat : Ah, not a bad idea. Next time? [looks at Ben]

Ben : Sure ! [shakes hand]

Story and Script - Preparing for a Script

The Simpson's 1 sentence pitch & 3 act

SYNOPSIS 

Bart uses his new miniature "spy" camera to take candid pictures around

the household; meanwhile, Homer is preparing to go to a bachelor party

for his co-worker at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. While at the

party, Homer is invited to dance on stage with a stripper. Bart (who is

dining with the rest of the family in the next-door restaurant) uses his

camera to snap a photo of Homer and the dancer having a great time. At

school, Martin develops the picture, which - after he compliments Bart's

work - gets distributed around school, and eventually around town.

Marge sees the photo and is outraged. Homer arrives home, where

Marge immediately confronts her husband and kicks him out of the

house. Eventually, Marge agrees to let him back in on the condition he

take Bart around to meet the stripper and show that she is not a sex

object. After almost winding up on stage at another of the dancer's

performances, Homer does as he is asked and all is forgiven.
